Over the past couple of months I've been hosting a series of Lunch and Learn sessions in Mississauga for a wonderful group of women involved in one of my Womens Fitness Bootcamps. At our most recent event, Dr. Mark Foullong was a special guest where he talked about the importance of Nutritional Cleansing and Detoxification.
Dr. Mark Foullong is a Family Chiropractor, Health Coach, Writer and Teacher. He has been in private practice in Orangeville, Ontario for over 14 years. Dr. Mark also inspires audiences and teaches Doctors all over North America about Life, Health and Healing.
I apologize in advance for the poor lighting. Rest assured though, the great information Dr. Mark conveyed is easily heard.
Please check back in the coming days for Part 2.

Paula is One Fantastic Woman
One of the long time members of the Mississauga Women's Fitness Bootcamp will be leaving us as she and her family prepare to relocate out of province due to career opportunities. Paula has been with us for over six months. I'll never forget Paula's first day at class. After having a baby she was looking to get back into shape and lose the fat she gained while pregnant. She was huffing and puffing and had a very difficult time completing the workouts.Over time as Paula continued to challenge herself, she very quickly became an amazing role model for the other members. She came to class each and every week ready to take on the world. As a result of her great attitude and work ethic, Paula achieved great success both mentally and physically.
I was deeply touched by Paula when I read what she had to say about her personal experience with the Mississauga Women's Fitness Bootcamp:
"I want you to know that this has been one of the BEST things that I have ever done for myself! From that first day I was having fun and getting results!! The workouts you brought for us every week were creative and energetic.
I must admit there were some nights where I did not feel like dragging my butt out into the pouring rain, but once I got there and saw all the smiling ladies and your enthusiastic energy, I knew that I had made the right choice.
It was also so great to watch the other ladies push themselves beyond what they thought they were capable of. You made it a safe and non judgmental environment to work out in. A great place to push yourself until you could no longer push!!
I am going to miss your energy and enthusiasm and creativity. I can only hope that I will find someone like yourself to workout with. Who knows maybe I will start my own camp!
My mind, body and soul thank you for your commitment to my success.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Thanks Paula. You're one amazing women who will be greatly missed by everyone at the Mississauga Womens Fitness Bootcamp.

The Indoor Season Has Begun
Tuesday, October 27, marked the beginning of our indoor fitness boot camp season. Our workout sessions are being held in the beautiful gymnasium at Northstar Montessori School located at 4900 Tomken Road (southwest corner of Eglinton Avenue and Tomken Road). The gym is equipped with a very forgiving and shock absorbing floor which is great for the body.
Our indoor camp sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. I supply all the necessary equipment for you. You supply a mat for floor work.
If you're interested in a camp that will get you the results you want, then this is the place for you. Whether you know it or not, burning fat and gaining lean muscle takes hard work, great effort and sweat. Couple this with sound exercise programming and you will experience great results right away. If your looking for a camp where you can come and lift pink barbie weights, chit chat and gossip the whole time and get a free t-shirt, this isn't the camp for you. You'd be better off joining someone else's camp.
At the Mississauga Women's Fitness Bootcamp you will not only blast away fat and sculpt your muscles, you will learn the hows and whys of what it is your doing so you will also receive an education while you work out which empowers you to be sucessful for the rest of your life. Couple that with some serious goal setting and nutritional coaching you are guaranteed great success immediately.
Remember, you 're in the position you're in because of your current habits and behaviours. To get the body you want and to start feeling great right away, new habits and behaviours are required, and that is exactly what will happen when you become a member of the Mississauga Womens Fitness Bootcamp.
If you want to come out for a trial class, please send me an e-mail and I'll set you up with a free pass.
Thanks

Mississauga Ladies Run For The Cure in Brampton
On Sunday, October 4, several members of the Mississauga Women's Fitness Camp donned their running shoes and hit the pavement to run for the cure in support of breast cancer research in Brampton, Ontario.
For all of the ladies this was their first experience in running 5 km. It was a very exciting day to say the least. Their fitness camp training had them very well prepared. It's worth noting that it's extremely important for people who run or who are thinking of running, to realize that one must get into shape to run as opposed to running to get into shape. The pounding the body takes from running is immense, and the repetitive nature of running makes it even worse. Is it no wonder many runners, and especially those new to running, are always suffering from aches and pains? It doesn't have to be that way when one adds some quality strength training to their exercise regime, which will be a topic of a future post.
The video below highlights the experience the ladies had at the Run for the Cure in Brampton. What did the ladies enjoy the most about their day? It could be one of several things:
1. Raising over $1,200 for breast cancer research,
2. The free food after the run
3. The thrill of accomplishing a goal none of them ever thought they could do prior to joining the Mississauga Women's Fitness Camp, or
4. Hanging out with the Brampton Fire Fighters.
Watch the video below and find out. Feel free to post a comment if you can guess what the best part of their day was. Enjoy.
