Tonight we held our first session of The Mississauga Women's Fitness Camp. We have a great group of 5 dedicated ladies who hold the distinction of being inaugural members. My congratulations to you all.
It was a great night. The sun was shining down on us in Mississauga but the cool wind made it brisk, but this great group of women came prepared for the elements. As avid runners, they are very experienced in this regard.
Our program tonight was as follows:
1. Dynamic Warmup
2. Circuit Exercises
a. Sandbag pickups
b. Burpees
c. Inverted rows
d. Bodyweight squats
e. Tire throws
f. Walking lunges
The circuits were timed:
2 rounds at 30 seconds for each exercise
Rest
2 rounds at 30 seconds for each exercise
3. Running strides - 6 @25 m each
4. Cool Down and stretching
All in all we had a fun time at the fitness camp tonight and the ladies all expressed their satisfaction in getting a great workout.
See you at Thursday nights session. A job well done tonight!

Tomorrow Night We Get Started
Good evening ladies of the Mississauga Women's Fitness Camp,
I hope you are enjoying this fine day.
A couple of things I want to mention before our first boot camp class tomorrow night:
1. Camp time is 6:30 - 7:15 pm. We will be starting promptly at 6:30 rain or shine,
2. Check the weather and dress appropriately,
3. Bring water to keep hydrated,
4. Bring gloves to protect your hands from the cold ground,
5. Be prepared to work outside of your comfort zone. This is where you need to go to get results.
Sometime this week I want you to e-mail me your goals and expectations of what you want to achieve health and fitness wise. Once I've had a chance to go through your information, I will contact you individually so we can arrange our one-on-one consultation. This is not mandatory but I am offering it to you for being a member of the Womens Fitness Camp in Mississauga. It can be done over the phone or over coffee/tea. It's your choice.
Remember when writing out your goals: Make them specific. If it is to lose weight, say exactly how much weight you want to lose and by what date and time. What are you going to do to get there? Again be very specific.
Your goals must be measurable, i.e. by such and such a date and time you can check one way or the other whether or not you accomplished your goal. Your goal has to be measureable.
Vague goals produce vague results!
Also, it takes the same amount of time to have big goals as it does to have small goals. I recommend you go for it!
I am also suggesting you get yourself some tight fitting clothes that you cannot fit into at this moment. This will be your measuring stick that you can try on every 4 weeks. I can assure you, if you are challenging yourself during the workouts and your nutrition is up to snuff, you will notice a difference when you try on your clothes.
Oh ya, don't forget to take a "before" picture. It will be something you may want to flaunt in several months time, especially when you want to compare yourself to your newly sculpted body as a result of all the body fat you lost.
Thanks in advance for signing up as a Meetup Member too. To find out more information regarding the Meetup group for the Mississauga Womens Fitness Camp go to:
http://www.meetup.com/The-Mississauga-Womens-Fitness-Camp/
It will be a great way to meet other like minded women and attract new members to our great group. As I said before, the more members we have, the more days and times the fitness camp can be offered, and the more choices you will have of when you can workout.
I am very excited to have all of you as members of this fitness camp. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or comments etc., please let me know. This fitness camp is all about you and your success. I am here to help you anyway I can.
Thank you,
David

We're only 4 days away from the start up of The Mississauga Women's Fitness Camp. I'm so excited to be offering this program to the women of Mississauga.
Our classes are being held every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:30 -7:15 pm. in the parkette in behind Sts. Peter and Paul School, located at 4205 Woodington Drive.
(south of Rathburn on Woodington, east of Hurontario)
Here's a map link for your convenience:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Mississauga&state=ON&address=4025+Woodington+Drive
I will be providing all the necessary equipment. Be sure to watch the weather and dress appropriately. I would suggest you bring a large towel and a pair of gloves as the ground may still be cold and wet. And don't forget some water in order to maintain your hydration levels.
Happy running,
David
